Issu du groupe Booze Brothers, Tara’s Folk délivre un folk rafraichissant et rythmé, mâtiné de sonorités traditionnelles et de rock. Les envolées du violon se mêlent aux étonnantes percussions irlandaises de Lor de Bigorre et à la voix tantôt rogomme, tantôt mélodieuse est portée par une rythmique guitare-contrebasse incisive.
Tara’s Folk c’est l’essentiel de la musique celtique dans des compositions folk pop et rock qui ne laisseront personne indifférent.

Spawned from the rock band Booze Brothers, Tara’s folk display a refreshing folk music, mixed with traditional and rock. Zoe’s fiddle blends so well with lor de bigorre’s peculiar percussions and the incisive lyrics and direct tone sits on top of a solid rythmic base of guitar and double bass

Les retours furent sans équivoque, le public étant tour à tour charmé par les mélodies mélancoliques de l’accordéon et du violon , secoué par la voix rogomme du chanteur et finalement remué par l’énergie des percussions. Ainsi encouragé par les festivaliers, Tara’s Folk trouva naturellement sa place sur les scènes folks et celtiques d’Europe.
The feedback from the public was unanimous, charmed as they were by the melodies of the fiddle and the button accordion, moved by the singers hoarse vocals and finally shaken by the energetic percussions. Pushed by music fans, Tara’s folk found itself at home in the heart of folk clubs and celtic festivals in Europe
Fondé par des membres des Booze Brothers le groupe fut à l’origine une simple version acoustique de leur grand frère rock. Avec l’arrivée de Rémi Geffroy, le jeune prodige de l’accordéon diatonique en 2016, de nouvelles compositions virent le jour, donnant au groupe son style particulier et original. Entre deux tournées de Booze, Tara’s Folk trouva le temps de jouer sur des festivals en France et en Europe.
Founded by members of the Booze Brothers, the band was originally merely an
acoustic version of their rockish big brother. After the arrival of young accordion
genius Rémi Geffroy in 2016, some new material began to emerge from the band's rehearsels. These new sounds provided the band with an original flavour and a new style. While touring with the Booze Brothers, Tara’s Folk managed to find some time to deliver gigs on festivals in France and across Europe
EP Leaving June 2021
Avec l’arrêt des concerts live concernant la moitié du globe en 2020, le trio profita de ce temps libre pour enregistrer un EP, bien épaulé par Julien Casanova au violon.
With the global pandemic in 2020 and all live gigs coming to a halt, the trio made use of their spare time to record their first EP, with a few guest stars and notably Julien Casanova on the fiddle.
On retrouve sur ce disque tout ce qui représente Tara’s Folk: de la mélodie du rythme, et un engagement à remettre l’humain au centre de nos priorités, à la considération des plus fragiles, laissés pour compte de cette société de compétition acharnée. Quand on quitte son environnement familier pour s’aventurer vers d’autres horizons de vie, par choix ou par obligation. Si l’accueil est à la hauteur, le résultat peut être au delà des espérances.

Le style est assez rare sur la planète folk, animé d’une énergie étonnante
et fort de la présence d’instruments rythmiques peu communs.
Le son et les compositions feront penser à des titres de Levellers ou Franck
Turner pour le folk rock, à Ten strings and a goatskin ou Uishedwr pour le
trad et même Dead South ou Sarah Jarosz.

New Line up - 2024
En 2024, Le Contrebassiste polyvalent JB Azanza vient rejoindre Tara's Folk.
Des rythmiques pleines de punch aux envolées mélodiques à l'archet permettent de donner
un grand volume au son de Tara's Folk. C'est tout naturellement que le désormais
quatuor compose un premier LP dont la sortie sera prévue au printemps 2026
At the fall of 2024, the double bass player JB Azanza joins Tara's Folk. Coming from yet other musical backgrounds, he brings punchy bass lines as well as beautiful pieces of bow swinging, bringing a nice amplitude to the bands sound. This naturally leads to new compositions, and a much expectede first LP is announced for 2026
Remember how we fall - 2026
Le premier album "Remember how we fall" sort le 01.05.2026. Huit titres inédits et deux titres des anciens disques viennent composer ce premier LP, enregistré aux studio Blars Records.
